Festive Picture Book Cinema with Dr. Brumm in Starnberg
When the Starnberg Christkindlmarkt spreads festive cheer outdoors, the Starnberg City Library turns cozy inside: At the picture book cinema "Dr. Brumm Celebrates Christmas", children and families experience a loving Advent program with large images, lively storytelling, and lots of children's laughter.
Large Images, Exciting Story and Lots of Learning Fun
The colorful illustrations from Daniel Napp's picture book are projected large on the wall as if on a cinema screen. The story is read live. This combines listening together, observing closely, and imaginative storytelling into an age-appropriate learning experience for children aged four and up.
Dr. Brumm is Looking for the Perfect Christmas Tree
Dr. Brumm and his best friend, the goldfish Pottwal, set out to find the perfect Christmas tree. Naturally, things go awry: Dr. Brumm stumbles from one mishap to the next. The humorous Christmas story invites children to marvel, cheer along, and laugh, creating a warm atmosphere for family time together.
Child-Friendly Family Experience in Advent
The picture book cinema appeals to even the youngest and playfully supports important areas of development such as language comprehension, concentration, imagination, and social experiences. Watching and listening together creates a calm, safe environment where children can unleash their curiosity and families can consciously enjoy the Advent season together.
Free Admission and No Registration Required
The event will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Starnberg City Library. Admission is free, and no registration is required. This short, varied program is particularly well-suited as a relaxing Advent component for families with younger children.
Conclusion: Dive Together into Dr. Brumm's Christmas World
Large book images, a humorous Christmas story, and shared reading make this picture book cinema a delightful family experience. For those who want to inspire children with books, stories, and imaginative images, the Starnberg City Library offers a child-friendly Advent hour full of joy, wonder, and learning fun.
