When Starnberg opens the festive stage
On November 14, 2026, the Schlossberghalle Starnberg transforms into the festive kickoff of the new carnival season. At the Inthronisation 2026/27, the official Starnberg prince couple together with the children’s prince couple symbolically take on the festive reign.
Crowning moment with great stage effect
The ceremonial Inthronisation combines ceremony, club traditions, and lively stage art. The focus is on the prince couples, whose appearance opens the evening and gives the new season a festive face. The theater atmosphere of the large hall creates the perfect setting for this special moment in the Starnberg carnival.
Gardens show the new season program for the first time
After the Inthronisation, the dramaturgy shifts from the ceremonial opening to a colorful show program. The prince couples and gardens present excerpts from the program for the upcoming season for the first time. Dance, costumes, music, and precisely choreographed movements bring energy to the stage and make the evening a special stage experience for families, carnival fans, and culture enthusiasts.
Festive carnival atmosphere in the Schlossberghalle
The hall opens its doors at 6:00 PM, before the event begins at 7:30 PM. A festive light atmosphere, colorful ornaments, and the concentrated tension before the first performance of the gardens are expected. The Schlossberghalle will become the meeting place for everyone who wants to experience the start of the 2026/27 season live.
An evening for big and small carnival fans
The inclusion of the children’s prince couple gives the event an intergenerational perspective. Together with the gardens, a varied evening is created that combines tradition, theatrical moments, and dance shows. The audience's reaction thrives on the immediate proximity between the stage and hall and the special atmosphere of a premiere.
The Inthronisation 2026/27 promises a brilliant season kickoff with a ceremonial event, imaginative costumes, and the first major appearance of the Starnberg gardens. Those who do not want to observe the carnival from a distance but want to feel its energy directly will experience this evening best live in the Schlossberghalle.
